Store at ambient temperature or refrigerated (2-30 °C) in the sealed pouch as provided. The test will remain stable until the expiration date indicated on the sealed packet. The test gadget must be kept in its sealed pouch until it is used. DO NOT FROST. Use before the expiry date.

Prior to testing, allow the test apparatus, specimen, buffer, and/or controls to equilibrate to room temperature (15-30 °C).
1.Collect feline’s feces or vomit with the swab stick from dog’s anus or on the ground. The amount of fecal swab as follows:
2. Insert the wet swab into the provided plastic tubes with buffer. Agitate it to assure good sample extraction.
3.Place the test device on a clean and level surface. Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 3 drops of extracted sample (approximately 120 μl) to the specimen well (S) of the test device, then start the timer. See illustration above.
4.Read the result at 5-10 minutes. Do not interpret results after 15 minutes.

 Feline Coronavirus Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) is a virus that commonly infects cats. It is usually asymptomatic, however it might produce moderate diarrhea. Changes in the virus that are still poorly understood can result in mutants that cause feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). Most FCoV-infected cats remove the virus after infection, however some cats may have a chronic infection. These cats are usually asymptomatic, but they can shed enormous quantities of virus in their feces and act as a constant source of infection for other cats in the surroundings. The continuous transmission of FCoV among a cat population may raise the likelihood of the emergence of a virulent FIP strain. While the pathophysiology of FIP is unknown,the diagnosis and removal of chronically diseased and shedding cats in a multi-cat home is currently thought to lower the probability of FIP emergence within that population. |
