Fecal Occult Blood Test Kit

The Fecal Occult Blood Test Kit along with the HTY-100 PLUS Reader or HTY-1600 Reader is a fluorescence immunoassay that quantifies the Fecal Occult Blood in human feces. 

Feces detection is a common indicator of digestive tract diseases, and is very important in the diagnosis of digestive tract diseases. The detection of gastrointestinal bleeding is an effective method to find occult blood and one of the important means for clinical diagnosis and monitoring of digestive tract hemorrhage disease. It is a cautionary tale for the early screening of the colorectal diseases in asymptomatic patients.

Test Methods:

• 1. Test Preparation

• (1) Instruction for Use must be read carefully before taking the test. Allow the required test card and detection buffer to come to room temperature (20℃-30℃) before use.

• (2) Check and make sure that the LOT number of the test card, ID chip and detection buffer are the same. 

• (3) Turn on the HTY-100 PLUS Reader or HTY-1600 Reader, and then insert the ID chip into the ID chip port of the analyzer. (Please refer to the HTY-100 PLUS Reader or HTY-1600 Reader Operation Manual for complete information and operating instructions.)

• (4) Place the test card on a clean and level surface.

   

• 2. Test Procedure

• (1) Unscrew the cap on the sample tube and add 2～3 drops (70～100μL) to the sample hole of the test card and let it stand for 10 minutes at room temperature. 

• (2) For scanning, put the test card on the card holder of analyzer and push inside till the end. Ensure proper orientation of the test card before pushing into the card holder. An arrow has been marked on the test card especially for this purpose. 

• (3) Click button "Start" on the analyzer to start the scanning process. 

• (4) Read the test result on the display screen of the HIGHTOP HTY- 100 PLUS analyzer, or print the result directly.

Interpretation of Results

• (1) Detection range of FOB is 50ng/mL ～ 1200ng/mL ( 10µg/g ～2400µg/g ). 

• (2) The detection should be repeated if the test result is between - 10% and +10% of cut-off value. 

• (3) If the test results are not consistent with the clinical symptoms, please try to use other appropriate detection methods to confirm. 

• (4) If the test results are higher than the normal reference value, the final diagnosis results should reference to clinical symptoms and other relevant indicators.

The linear range is from 50ng/mL to 200ng/mL with correlation coefficient of the standard curve not less than 0.9900. 

3. Accuracy

Parallelly testing with quality control material of 600ng/mL FOB, each for 10 times, Bias% ≤ 15.0%. 

4. Repeatability

(1) Intra batch analysis precision

Parallelly testing with quality control material of 600ng/mL FOB, each for 10 times, Bias% ≤ 15.0%. 

(2) Batch-to-batch variation Respectively take each one box of HIGHTOP FOB from three consecutive batches, parallelly testing with quality control material of 600ng/mL FOB, each for 10 times, CV% ≤ 20%. 

5. Analytical sensitivity

Triglyceride (5 mg/mL), bilirubin (600 mg/L), horseradish peroxidase (2000 μg/mL), and iron (60 mg/mL) had no effect on the test results;

Analytical sensitivity: The results should all be negative when detecting samples as follows: 500μg/mL Hb of goat, 500μg/mL Hb of chicken, 500μg/mL Hb of cattle, 500μg/mL Hb of swine, water and dilution of normal feces. 

6. HOOK effect

The HOOK effect did not occur when the HB concentration in the sample was 5000 ng/mL.
