1. Before testing, let the pouched test strip come to room temperature (15–30C). Hold off on opening the pouch until you're ready to run the test.
2. Take out the test strip from the bag that is sealed. Place it on a dry, clean, level surface.
3. Fill the test strip's sample pad with one drop of whole blood, serum, or plasma using a pipette and add it gradually.
4. To prevent cross-contamination, hold the buffer bottle vertically and apply two drops to the test strip's sample pad. If you're using a pipette, swap it out for a fresh one. Draw and add three to four buffer drops to the sample pad.
