When the concentration of HIV1+2 antibody in the sample to be tested is equal to or higher than the limit of detection, the antibody will form an "antibody-gold-labeled antigen complex" with the labeled HIV1+2 antigen, and move forward, it is captured by the HIV-1 antigen and HIV-2 antigen pre-coated on the test line (T) on the nitrocellulose membrane, forming a colored line, and the result is positive; on the contrary, when the sample does not contain HIV1/2 antibody or when the concentration is lower than the limit of detection, the test line (T) does not appear, and the result is negative. Regardless of whether the
sample contains HIV1/2 antibodies, the labeled rabbit IgG will be captured by the goat anti-rabbit IgG antibody coated on the nitrocellulose membrane, that is, the control line (C) will form a colored line.
Syphilis: The double antigen sandwich method is used to detect Treponema pallidum (TP) antibodies. The reagent test line (T) is coated with TP antigen 2,and the control line (C) is coated with goat anti-mouse IgG antibody. When the concentration of TP antibody in the sample to be tested is equal to or higher than the limit of detection, the antibody will form an "antibody-TP antigen 1-labeled coupling protein complex" with the labeled coupling protein-TP antigen 1 complex, and move forward under the action of chromatography, it is captured by the TP antigen 2 pre-coated on the nitrocellulose membrane (T), forming a colored line, the result is positive; on the contrary, when the sample
does not contain TP antibody or when the concentration is lower than the limit of detection, the test line (T) does not appear, and the result is negative at this time. Regardless of whether the sample contains TP antibodies, the control line (C) will form a colored line.
