After the blood sample enters the test area, it reacts with different functional coagulation reagents and the blood coagulates. The impedance of the blood sample changes during this process according to the coagulation process, and the electrochemical detector records this change and calculates the corresponding test results. Prothrombin is usually measured using the

International Normalized Ratio (INR), which is calculated from the International Sensitivity Index (ISI) of this product.
