Situations Requiring Calibration Of Blood Glucose Meter

May 17, 2022Leave a message

1. use the newly purchased blood glucose meter for the first time.

2. each time a new bottle of test strip is used.

3. if it is suspected that there is a problem with the blood glucose meter or test strip.

4. when the test results fail to reflect the physical conditions you feel (for example, you feel hypoglycemic symptoms, but the measured blood glucose results are on the high side).

5. after the blood glucose meter fell.

When calibrating the blood glucose meter, pay attention to:

1. do not use expired simulated blood glucose solution;

2. the simulated blood glucose solution is effective within three months after opening the bottle, so the expiration date should be indicated after the first bottle is opened for use, and the bottle of simulated blood glucose solution should be discarded after three months;

3. the simulated blood glucose solution should not be stored in an environment with a temperature of more than 30 ℃, nor should it be refrigerated or frozen;

4. if the test result of simulated blood glucose solution is not within the acceptable range displayed on the test paper box, do not continue to use the blood glucose meter for the time being, and find out the cause in time.
